No matter your age or experience, tennis is a game anyone can enjoy. Whether you’re picking up a racquet for the first time at 3 or 33, hitting casually with friends, or trying to step up your skills at the club, good technique and smart tactics make the game even more fun.
Coach Steve specializes in guiding beginners of all ages to feel confident, comfortable, and genuinely enjoy their time on the court.
Kids can start swinging a racquet as early as 3 or 4!
At that age, it’s all giggles, games, and learning in disguise.
With softer balls, mini courts, and lots of movement, they’ll build coordination, confidence, and a love for the game—without even realizing they’re “practicing.” Mixing in imaginative games, Coach Steve helps them build confidence and coordination while discovering just how fun tennis can be. Which is exactly what Coach Steve is doing at the Donalda Club.
Coach Steve begins with the basics — solid footwork and simple racquet skills — helping adult beginners move with confidence and enjoy every hit. Once they’ve got the feel, we progress to clean, consistent forehands, backhands, volleys, and serves, all taught with clear, straightforward instruction.
